Proud Green Walkers!

Dear Pomona Panthers,

We’re sorry that it rained on our first Walk-to-School-Day parade. 😦  Nevertheless, Green School Friends, do NOT despair!!   (Blog hint, click on the colored and/or underlined words to learn more about these words.)

There are two reasons to be happy today.  First, our beautiful state of California desperately needs rain!  Click here to learn why.  Second, Pomona’s Green Team is busy planning fun activities to help make our school the best Green School in Costa Mesa! 🙂

Students, we need your help.  You can help us choose a mission statement and motto for our school.  You can make your choice together as a whole class, or you can go to the classroom computers and vote independently.  Either way, we need your input.

Our Green Team composed several possibilities; please choose your favorite mission statement and motto on these online polls:

We need all the input that we can get — teachers, principal(s), aides, cafeteria workers, office personnel, parents and, OF COURSE, STUDENTS. Thanks for your help!!!!

    I am so proud to have a “Green Team” at our school! I am excited at the level of learning that will take place, all while helping our planet. I am also proud of one of Pomona’s new teachers showing such GREAT expertise and creativity teaching and learning with technology. Rankin rocks! 🙂

    I’m happy the Pomona community is focusing upon becoming more GREEN! One way I am GREEN is to turn off my classroom lights and electronic devices when they are not in use.

    I am so happy that there is a green team in our wonderful school,and i am glad I was in the green team a year ago. KEEP ON GOING!! GREEN TEAM!
